Commercial Assistant

Out client is a Tier 1 construction company with a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Commercial Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the Commercial Manager with day-to-day commercial activities
Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents
Supporting the evaluation of tenders and recommending contractors
Assisting with the management of the financial aspects of construction projects, including monitoring costs, forecasting, and reporting
Supporting the identification and mitigation of potential cost and schedule risks
Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
Collaborating with the project team to ensure that financial aspects align with project timelines and budget
Supporting the negotiation of change orders and variations with contractors
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial recordsRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in a commercial or administrative role within the construction industry
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
