Job Title: Buildings Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Location: ILFORD
Job Overview:
The Static Buildings Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with contract SLAs and safety regulations. This includes performing PPM and reactive maintenance, managing risk assessments, issuing permits, and ensuring logbook compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
*
Perform scheduled PPM and reactive repairs within SLA requirements.
*
Review risk assessments, issue work permits, and adhere to safety protocols.
*
Maintain accurate records in CAFM systems.
*
Order parts and manage stock for maintenance tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience post-qualification.
*
Relevant mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification.
*
Knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
*
Familiarity with CAFM systems and hand-held PDAs.
*
Strong diagnostic and communication skills.
*
Desirable: IPAF 3a & 3b certification, L8 ACOP knowledge, FSI Go experience.
£44k base salary + £1500 once LV/AP obtained.
On call £125pw / Minimum 4 hours paid each call out (Weekday time and a half, Weekends double time)
End of Year Performance Bonus.
Double time Saturday / Sunday
