The Role:
As an HLTA, you will take on a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning across the school. You will be working closely with teachers to deliver tailored lessons, provide whole-class or small group instruction, and support students in their academic journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of the curriculum and teaching strategies, who is passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading Learning: Support teachers in the delivery of lessons, including leading whole-class teaching, small group interventions, and providing 1:1 support for students with additional needs.
* Providing Teaching & Learning Support: Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment, helping to create engaging and differentiated learning activities.
* Supporting Student Progress: Monitor and track student progress, identifying and addressing any barriers to learning.
* Supporting Behaviour & Wellbeing: Create a positive, safe, and supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Collaboration with the Teaching Team: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to provide the best possible learning experience for all students.
* Covering Classes: In the absence of class teachers, you will lead the class, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Promoting Inclusivity: Support the inclusion of students with a range of needs, including those with SEN, in all aspects of school life.
* Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional who is:
* Qualified and Experienced: You will have HLTA status or experience as a HLTA/Cover Supervisor and experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
* Passionate About Education: A genuine passion for helping children learn and succeed, with a commitment to making a difference in their lives.
* A Skilled Communicator: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A Collaborative Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both students and colleagues to achieve shared goals.
* Organised and Adaptable: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to the ever-changing demands of the classroom.
* Committed to Safeguarding: A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children at all times.
