A Hertfordshire based authority is offering an initial 6-month opportunity for a Strategic Planning Manager to lead the team and support the Director of Place in delivering the Local Development Scheme.

You will manage the Strategic Planning Service, lead the formal consultation on the new Local Plan, and oversee key cross-border planning relationships with surrounding local authorities. Reporting to senior officers and Councillors, you will also mentor and manage the team.

To be considered, you must have RTPI membership or eligibility, 5+ years of planning experience, and experience managing staff and budgets.

This role has the flexibility of full time or part time hours and requires the individual to be based on site 1-2 days per week, with free parking available!

The rate of pay is between £60-£65 per hour, depending on experience.
