Polytec are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician for our client based just outside Royston.

Responsibilities:

* Building devices, machinery and test systems
* Electrical wiring to schematics
* Mechanical build using hand-tools and possibly machine tools
* Debugging mechanical and electrical operation
* Informal testing to own initiative
* Contributing to generation of build documentation
* Continuous manufacturing process improvements
* Design and fabrication of assembly and test jigs

Requirements:

* Hands-on experience with products or instruments in an RandD setting
* At least level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
* Confident and accurate written and verbal communication
* Confident using MS Office
* Expert user of hand tools, metrology and test instruments
* Expertise in the use of manual mill and lathe would be beneficial
