Electrician required for our client who currently design and manufacture smart home energy storage devices. They are looking for a qualified Electrician to carry out Battery installations and warranty work. You will be required to sign off installations using the NICEIC portal, so experience in this or NAPIT would be advantageous.
Our client's headquarters and manufacturing site is in the Watford area, so a candidate based within a reasonable distance to this area would be preferred.
As this is predominately a field-based role, you must be happy to travel and stay away if required.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with a solid technical / electrical background, preferably a time served electrician with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar post. It would be advantageous to have experience of renewable energy, within either solar and/or battery installations.

* Up to £55,000 per annum

Duties:
* Carry out installations and warranty work in customer homes or businesses as required to the schedule agreed with the Installations Manager.
* Co-ordinate closely with the Installations Manager on the agreed schedule and job requirements and support.
* Maintain the technical standard and quality of electrical work carried out by electrical operational staff and 3rd party contractors
* Ensure the required technical standards and processes are followed at all times.
* Provide an effective response to Health and Safety issues, to ensure the safety of customers and operational staff in line with company procedures and other such legislation.
* Able to recognise issues and liaise closely with the Technical team and provide feedback on any suggestions, ideas, or challenges as they occur in the field.
* Commit and contribute to the continuous improvement of the companies field processes – e.g. site surveys, installations, warranty.
* Maintain and manage a calibration log for all equipment.
* Service and maintenance of Energy Storage units in customers’ homes.
* Ensure Van stock levels are always at an appropriate level.
Essential Qualifications:
* C&G 2391 testing and inspection
* C&G 18th Edition
* UK Driving license.
* Practical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
* Fully conversant with safe systems of work, risk assessments and compliance with CDM regulations
Preferred Qualifications
* NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* Work or City & Guilds 2360 Part 1/ 2 (A/B) or C&G 2365 or C&G 2330 or C&G 2356 and AM2
