Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer looking for your next challenge? A leading national civil engineering contractor is seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a large-scale renewable energy project in Scotland.

? Start Date: 31st March
? Duration: Minimum 2 months (potential for extension)
? Location: East Lothian

The Role:

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate positioning and execution of works on-site. Working alongside the site team, you’ll be responsible for:

✔️ Setting out and surveying for earthworks, drainage, roads, and foundations
✔️ Using GPS and total station equipment to ensure precision
✔️ Assisting with quality control and ensuring compliance with design specifications
✔️ Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and designers
✔️ Maintaining accurate site records and as-built drawings

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer in civil engineering
✅ Strong knowledge of renewable energy, earthworks, or infrastructure projects
✅ Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and AutoCAD
✅ Valid CSCS card
✅ Ability to work independently and problem-solve on-site
