Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire
Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 + Excellent Benefits
Shifts: 12-hour rotating pattern (days and nights) – see below for full schedule

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer looking to join a well-established manufacturer?

The Company:

The company are a global leading Manufacturing company

What You’ll Be Doing:
As part of a close-knit maintenance team, you’ll support high-speed printing, cutting, sheeting, and finishing machinery. You’ll carry out proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and work on a mix of mechanical and electrical systems, including:

* Servo and inverter drives

* Pneumatics and hydraulics

* Chain, sprocket, and belt-driven machinery

* High-speed rotating equipment

* Electrical circuits from 415V to 24VDC

* Fan applications and conveyors

You’ll also be a key player in driving continuous improvement and machine reliability, helping ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently.

About you:

* Time-served apprentice or engineering qualification

* A multi-skilled background (electrical or mechanical bias welcome)

* Ability to read and work from mechanical/electrical drawings

* Logical fault-finding approach

* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

* Flexible to work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern

* Experience working within packaging is advantageous but not essential

Shift Pattern:
36 hours per week average

* 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 3 off

* Followed by 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 8 days off (and a short break over Christmas)

* Paid overtime available

The Package:

* £48,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

* 18 days holiday

* Pension: 4% employer / 4% employee

* 2x death in service cover

* Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day
