Finance Manager | London | Full Time | £95,000-£105,000 pa

Are you the right person for the job?

Strong leadership skills and work ethic
Must have a confident, entrepreneurial, and hard-working approach
Must be technically capable, commercially aware and possess the ability to inspire and influence people at all levels
A qualified accountant and graduate, with excellent financial acumen and an ability to work between and select appropriate accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP vs IFRS)
A proven, standalone Finance leader with a demonstrable track record of contributing to growing a business, both in terms of revenue, profit and geographic footprint
Experience working with strategic investors, where they have demonstrated a strong focus on value creation and cash management, as well as the credibility to manage relationships with key external stakeholders
Relevant sector experience with a good understanding of the key market drivers and potential issues, which may affect the business and its customers
Experience in entrepreneurial, high-growth environments with exposure to leading a diverse range of projects and work streams
Focus and attention to detail
Proactive and energetic, with an unerring focus on delivering long term performance goals and continual improvement
Commercial judgement
Excellent communication skills
Can operate successfully in a range of environments, with the appetite to be hands on in an entrepreneurial environment and the credibility to build strong relationships at the most senior level.
What will your role look like?

Partnering with the CEO, the Board and Investors to monitor and manage the Business Plan and drive the growth and performance of the business.
Keeping a constant and disciplined grip on key financial levers, ensuring they are being fully optimised, with a focus on EBITDA and cash. Sharing visibility on monthly, quarterly, and annual performance.
Working with the CEO to ensure appropriate and challenging targets are set and the business has robust supporting financial models to deliver them.
Consistently provide constructive challenge and support to the CEO and the Board, proactively identifying; and potentially taking responsibility for the implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
Preparing the financial objectives for the business, responsible for the annual budgeting process in line with the Business Plan; forecasting; and financial planning processes.
Provision of relevant and insightful financial and operating information and analysis to the Board in a timely manner (including monthly P&L, CF and BS), giving a clear overview of business performance and fuelling commercial decision making and strategic planning discussions.
Assessing performance against both the budget and long-term strategy, providing financial input into key operational decision.
Developing and managing robust financial systems and controls and taking responsibility for risk and finance policies.
Working with the Compliance Officer to ensure all controls are maintained
Leading cash and working capital management.
Managing the annual audit process and ensuring rigorous compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Communicating effectively to the Board and all shareholders
Where necessary, leading communications with, and developing strong, long term banking relationships
Leading communications with all external advisors regarding audits, tax, and insurance and ensuring compliance with all required reporting to relevant authorities
What can you expect in return?

£100k per annum (dependent on experience) plus additional compensation components depending on performance metrics
