I’m recruiting an experienced and talented Supply Chain Manager on behalf of a true market leading manufacturing business that have been operating since the ‘50s. The predecessor has recently retired after a long and successful career with the business and are looking for somebody to form part of the SLT, reporting in to the CEO of the business. This an excellent opportunity to make your mark on a business and implement your own supply chain strategies, adding value to the business.

* £55,000 salary

* 8.30am – 5pm Mon-Thurs

* 8.30am – 2.30pm Fri

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement supply chain & procurement strategies

* Implement inventory management and reduction methods

* Build and nurture lasting relationships with key global suppliers

* Oversee inventory and demand planning for the business

* Mentor immediate reports and have a clear management style, collaborative and productive being key

* Conduct market research and stay up to date with supplier offerings, and maintain a competitive advantage

About You

* Experience in supply chain or procurement management – 5+ years ideally

* Experience in a manufacturing environment – please do not apply if you don’t have this experience

* Proven team leader/manager

* Knowledge of IS0 9001 and other quality standards

* Negotiation, contract, overseas supplier management experience
