This is a this newly created position will grant you the autonomy to identify and introduce changes to benefit the business and have a hand in shaping the future.
THE ROLE:
As a Process Engineer your duties will include:
* Process Engineering Leadership: Oversee the process engineering function supporting plant operations and products. This encompasses Front End Engineering Design and Process Engineering Design studies.
* Documentation and Support: Prepare relevant process engineering documents for FEED studies, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, commissioning procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and calculations, ensuring timely project execution.
* EHS Compliance: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, policies, and principles.
* Project Planning and Management: Manage the installation and commissioning of new or modified plants, ensuring cost, time and quality targets are met.
* Capital Projects: Lead the conceptual phase of capital projects, developing strategies to expand and provide capacity to suit business requirements.
* Safety and Risk Management: Lead/participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and quantified risk assessments. Arrange process safety reviews and ensure implementation of recommendations, utilizing industry best practices.
* Safety and Risk Management: Assist in HAZOPs, LOPAs, design reviews and risk assessments. Implement recommendations, following best practices.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead CI activities, supporting manufacturing troubleshooting and optimising processes.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Process Engineer:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering
* Chartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE (desirable, but not essential)
* Previously worked in a COMAH site
* A dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify improvement opportunities
* Working knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAH
* Skilled in Project Management
* The ability to work autonomously
* Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
* Strong problem solving skills
