An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and innovative Head of Media Studies to join a well-respected school in Surrey. This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Media Studies teacher to take on a leadership role in a thriving and well-resourced department.
 
About the Role:

Lead the Media Studies department, overseeing curriculum development and teaching strategies
Teach Media Studies across GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC courses
Develop and implement engaging schemes of work that enhance student learning
Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring high academic standards
Manage department resources, including digital editing suites and Adobe Creative Suite software
Support and mentor staff within the department, fostering a collaborative teaching environment
Contribute to the school’s co-curricular activities and wider community initiatives About You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a strong academic background in Media Studies
Proven experience in teaching Media Studies at GCSE and A-Level (BTEC experience desirable)
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire students and staff
A passion for media and digital technology, with experience using industry-standard software
