Our expertise spans the decommissioning of power generation assets, technical solutions to design, install and maintain regional and national electricity networks, ensuring the safe supply of power to millions of households across the country. Our experience and expertise covers, overhead lines, HV substation installations, cable tunnels and distribution networks. Keltbray also has a growing capability in renewable energy, including piling solutions and high voltage engineering, as well as decommissioning of redundant wind turbine assets. Working within KISL’s Energy Business Unit working from our Andover Office working on a major SSE Framework. Forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting and maximising profit.

The Role

Responsibility for the effective commercial management and daily operations of your designated contracts. To support the Operational and Commercial teams to ensure achievement of profit targets whilst managing the refurbishment of 33kV - 132kV OHL Distribution projects.

* Capable of managing multiple subcontract packages

* Solid contractual understanding and background

* Forecasting/CVRs

* Experience of using ERP systems such as Coins, Causeway, SAP, etc.

* Strong attention to detail

* Highly organised, able to self-motivate and manage a busy and varied workload

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Travel to sites across the UK

Qualifications and Training

* Experience of using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

* Degree qualified or Equivalent

* Ideally 4 years’ experience as a QS

* Experience in Utilities / Infrastructure or major projects worth £1m+.

* Previous experienced with a contractor

* Full driving licence
