Small Works Manager (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Wigan
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 + Van + 10% Bonus Scheme
Hours: 41-hour week
Holiday: 28 days + Pension + DIS

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Small Works Manager with a mechanical bias to join a well-established team based in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic gas and heating systems and will be responsible for managing small works packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage both in-house engineers and subcontractors on various small works projects.

*

Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

*

On occasion, work on the tools and provide hands-on support where necessary.

*

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, particularly in domestic gas and heating installations.

*

Coordinate, plan, and allocate resources for multiple projects.

*

Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior management.

*

Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team.

Essential Requirements:

*

Domestic gas and heating background.

*

ACS qualifications.

*

Proven experience managing small works packages.

*

Strong leadership and team management skills.

*

Ability to work on the tools when required.

*

Full UK driving licence.
