We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on a variety of rail infrastructure projects over a 10-year period. Project values range from £50k to £50 million and include bridges, tunnels, embankment strengthening, as well as some mechanical and electrical (M&E) work. This role offers flexible working locations, with offices in Blackfriars, Sussex, Wessex, Kent, Tunbridge, Basingstoke, and East Croydon.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual elements of multiple rail infrastructure projects. You will work on projects ranging from small to large-scale, ensuring effective cost management and commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle. This role will involve leading a commercial team and ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

Oversee the financial and contractual management of various rail projects.
Lead a commercial team, ensuring accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
Manage projects involving bridges, tunnels, embankment strengthening, and M&E work.
Administer NEC contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Prepare valuations, handle variations, and manage final accounts.
Collaborate closely with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
Extensive experience working on major infrastructure projects, particularly in the rail sector.
Proven track record in leading a commercial team on complex projects.
Deep understanding of NEC contracts and their application.
