Farmstar Ltd. was incorporated in 1988 and is a leading dealer of agricultural machinery, equipment and supplies. Dedicated to providing a high quality of service to cover the requirements of farmers, contractors, local authorities and others. Farmstar Ltd has 4 established depots serving the Yorkshire, North/South Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire areas!

We are currently seeking a passionate and flexible individual to join the Farmstar team as the Group Service Manager based across all 4 of our Depots on a full-time, permanent basis.

Attributes:

* Previous experience as a Service Manager or Group Service Manager is desirable but not essential. Experience in the Agricultural Industry is desirable not essential. An organised and proactive person with a can do attitude.

* Good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to be diplomatic in certain situations.

* Excellent reputation in Customer service. Ideally need experience with management, planning, scheduling, and have strong organisational skills.

* Proactive and methodical in approach to problem solving with an ability to manage, coach and motivate staff, helping to ensure a welcoming, friendly environment. Keen eye for detail with a record of completing admin in a timely manner.

* The willingness to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.

* Ability to maintain a high standard of working practice and to work under pressure even in tense situations.

* Willingness to travel across all 4 Farmstar sites is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Creating and installing targets for measurement of the workshops in areas such as efficiency, utilisation etc. at branch level.

* Proactively managing and maintaining relationships with regards to service issues to ensure customer satisfaction with identified key accounts.

* Responsibility (along with group parts manager) for positively developing aftermarket CSI for key suppliers.

* Creating a training and development plan for departmental staff including identifying succession possibilities.

* Developing housekeeping policy and ensuring adherence including to supplier dealer standards where relevant.

* Managing PIP campaigns for all manufactures and ensuring they are completed within the time restrictions.

* Managing the Ibcos system to obtain both timely and accurate reports – these reports to be used to help in managing the group dealer managers and form feedback during regular management meeting both up the chain and downwards. You will also have responsibility for supplier liaison including developing new and profitable opportunities, measuring supplier value and maintaining positive relationships

* Business development responsibilities – setting growth and profit targets for the group – monitoring and feedback on development.

* Reporting to the senior management team on a regular basis.

* Scheduling meetings proactively and ensuring the motivational elements.

* Managing the discipline and setting the quality of behavioural standards – this includes any disciplinary meetings necessary.

* Motivating and developing the team ethic of the service departments.

* Resolve customer invoice disputes in a prompt manor.

* Promote the service department by the seasons along with the parts department.

* Developing aftersales promotions to promote workshop sales.

* Be a point of contact between departments for group issues.

* Offer guidance on best practice on how to manage larger workshop jobs to reduce any wastage and ensure margins are maintained. Provide guidance and assist in technical support requests between manufacturers and workshop on the more complex repair operations when required.

* Be responsible for the development and management of the warranty team, providing guidance on warranty submission and training where required.

* Liaise with the service manager to develop training plans and budgeting for service department staff and thus developing the service departments to become more proactive in the acquisition of customer and further business.
