Role Purpose:
In this role, you will lead the Protein Category sourcing strategy, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to maintain an uninterrupted supply of protein materials essential for production. You will oversee a sourcing lead, driving procurement transformation tailored to meet business objectives. Your focus will be on optimizing growth, achieving environmental and social targets, controlling costs, and upholding high-quality standards while mitigating supply risks and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and executing a strategic sourcing plan to ensure consistent, high-quality supply while managing costs.
* Building strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers to align on business needs and achieve category objectives.
* Leading procurement activities, performance reporting, and improvement initiatives to meet KPI targets and support business growth.
* Managing supplier communications, stock control, and tender processes to optimise costs and maintain supply reliability.
* Utilizing market insights and analysis tools to identify opportunities, validate sourcing decisions, and enhance category performance.
Requirements:
* Strong protein sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management experience (essential)
* Strong drive to deliver results and build relations at all levels (essential)
* Proteins procurement experience in poultry/pork) (ideal)
