Thorn Baker are recruiting for an established Housing Developer in the East Midlands.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a site in Peterborough, consisting of traditional new build houses. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for progression to Site Manager within 18 months due to a new site commencing.

Job Duties:

Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Manage subcontractors and tradespeople
Monitor progress and quality of work
Assist in resolving any on-site issues or conflicts
Coordinate with suppliers and ensure materials are delivered on time

Required Qualifications:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
First Aid certification
NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management
Full UK Driving License

Knowledge and Skills:

Valid Driving Licence
Experience in snagging and quality control
Strong customer care skills
Knowledge of NHBC (National House Building Council) standards
Leadership and management skills

Working Conditions:

The role will involve working on a construction site, requiring outdoor work and regular interaction with subcontractors and other site personnel.
