Working Pattern: Part-time (0.4) - 13 hours per week | Term time only
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a wonderful Infant School in High Wycombe, home to the only Infant School Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) in the county. The school was recently praised by Ofsted (October 2024) as a "highly inclusive school", with a strong, forward-thinking approach to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate ARP Teacher to join a truly inclusive and nurturing school community. You'll be part of a supportive, solution-focused team that values creativity, therapeutic practice, and holistic education.

About the Role

This is a job-share role within a specialist ARP setting, supporting up to 9 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs. You'll work as part of a close-knit and experienced team under the guidance of the Lead ARP Teacher (0.6) and the Assistant Head for Inclusion.

You'll help deliver a bespoke curriculum tailored to individual needs.

Pupils benefit from a dedicated sensory room, a safe outdoor space, and access to wider school facilities including an outstanding Forest School.

You'll be at the heart of a school that prioritises emotional well-being, communication, and inclusive learning.

About You

We're looking for an experienced, resilient, and compassionate educator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is deeply committed to inclusive education.

You will have:

Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, especially ASD and SLCN

Strong knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum

Familiarity with specialist communication tools such as Makaton or PECS

A creative, flexible, and trauma-informed approach to teaching

The ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies

A passion for empowering children with additional needs to achieve their full potential
