The Company
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent Planning Consultancy whose close-knit team is seeking a Town Planner to join the team in their Beaconsfield office.
The Position
In this role, you will provide planning, development, and regeneration consultancy advice to both public and private sector clients on all aspects of planning which include retail, residential, leisure and general urban regeneration.
The Candidate
The client is seeking applications from candidates who hold a degree or equivalent in a Town Planning related field of study. Ideally the candidate will have demonstratable previous experience in a similar role. The ability to adapt and think on your feet, as well as to hit the ground running is essential.
Key responsibilities
As a planning consultant you are likely to have a combination of the following responsibilities:
Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries
Undertaking and assisting in the preparation of information for community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations
Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites
Researching and designing planning policies to guide development
Writing high quality reports with recommendations
Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process
Attending site visits and client meetings
