Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for a Trade Counter / Warehouse Assistant on behalf of their well established client in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will have either worked within a Trade Counter role previously or have existing knowledge of flooring products.

The working hours are:

Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 16:30 or 08:30 to 17:30 + alternate Saturdays 08:00 to 12:00

Salary: £25k to £26k per annum

This role involves:

serving customers over trade counter
answering inbound calls from customers and suppliers
assisting customers with product knowledge as well as introducing new products that come in to the business 
processing orders (training provided)
placing special orders with suppliers (training provided)
responding to inbound emails 
source and quote customers 
check stock levels 
check suppliers stock levels
picking orders
packing 
support with stock counts
60% trade counter / 40% warehouse
To be considered for this role you must have / be:

previous trade counter experience 
strong literacy and numeracy skills
a full UK Driving Licence - as you may need to travel to a different branches occasionally 
computer literate
comfortable dealing with customers face to face, over the phone and email
hungry to learn new skills
reliable
a team player and able to work on own initiative
fluent English speaking, reading and writing
