We are currently recruiting a Science Technician with a background in chemistry to support our partner schools' science departments in delivering engaging and safe practical lessons.
The Role:
As a Science Technician placed through Supply Teach, you’ll work directly with secondary school science departments to ensure that labs are ready and well-equipped for student learning. This role is ideal for someone with a chemistry background who wants to make a difference in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up equipment and prepare materials for science lessons, with a focus on chemistry practicals
* Assist teachers and students in safely conducting experiments
* Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels, ensuring secure storage for chemicals and lab materials
* Ensure all lab activities meet current health and safety standards
Requirements:
* Degree in Chemistry (essential)
* Experience in a laboratory or school science environment (preferred)
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to lab management
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols, especially regarding chemical handling
