About the role:

We seek a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) to join our dynamic team. This full-time, long-term position offers a daily rate of £85-£100. The role has become available due to our commitment to expanding our support team, reflecting our dedication to providing the best educational experience for our students.

As an SEN TA, you will be working in a supportive and resource-rich environment provided by our headteacher and leadership team. You will play a crucial role in assisting our SEN students, ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive academically and socially. The class sizes are manageable, allowing for focused and individualised attention to each student’s needs.

Application Requirements:

• A strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on students.

• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly SEMH.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the emotional and social development of students with SEMH needs.

• Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons.

• Providing one-on-one support to students to help them engage with their learning.

Implementing strategies to manage and support challenging behaviour.
