Portfolio Procurement has been engaged to recruit a Buying & Product Development Assistant for a creative, innovative, and leading business in their market.

The Role :

Working with Buying Team to work on products ranges
Working closely with design and bringing concepts to life.
Managing the full product lifecycle, from sourcing to production
Sourcing suppliers in the Far East and Europe
Negotiating prices, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
Overseeing product specifications, quality control, and technical compliance, ensuring everything meets industry standards.
Handling detailed product specifications and purchase ordersExperience/Skills

A graduate with a strong technical background (engineering, product design)
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and apply technical knowledge to real-world product challenges.
Commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate and manage budgets effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to manage relationships with suppliers, designers, and internal teams.
A team player with a focus on detail and strong organisational skills. Precision is key to getting things done right.
