Our Client are looking for a Finance Business Partner with previous Local Government experience around Corporate Finance.

This role requires 1 day/week on-site in office.

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide a Finance Business Partnering Service advising Senior Managers on complex financial issues

2. Compiling the statutory year-end financial statements including Collection Fund Accounting.

3. Compiling the yearly revenue and capital budgets of the Council for all funds.

4. Ensure government returns for finance and revenues and benefits are completed accurately and returned in a timely manner.

6. Assist in the provision of timely and accurate information to other Officers and Members of the Council for the purposes of budgetary control.

7. Promote effective resource management that delivers the Councils' priorities within budget through the pursuit of innovative and flexible working methods.

8. Assist in the provision of a Treasury management function including short term investments, borrowings, cash flow and the administration of leasing requirements.

9. To review, advise on and maintain accounting procedures which are capable of providing guidance to any officer requiring it and promote best practice.

10. Complete Tax Returns and advise Managers on taxation issues
