Business Development Manager – South West & Wales
Are you looking to further your career in the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) industry? Due to company expansion, BMSI is looking for a Business Development Manager to cover our Wales and South West Region. If you are a passionate and enthusiastic person who enjoys building relationships with customers and if you have a background in Building Energy Management Systems this could be the role for you.
Reporting to the Regional Support Manager, this is a hybrid working role based in the office, home and with travel to sites across the region, and occasionally elsewhere in the UK, to meet with new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Generating new business prospects from both existing relationships and new prospective customers.
Quoting for new Services and Contract Uplifts in line with the company's commercial Standards.
Conducting market research to identify potential clients and market trends.
Create a strategic sales plan designed to identify potential clients who may (or should) be looking for support with their buildings, whether this be with energy management or their buildings management systems (BMS).
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Presenting our BMS support solutions to clients and effectively articulating the value proposition.
Collaborating with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions.
Meet and exceed both short-term revenue goals as well as build consistent long-term revenue potential.
Providing regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
The Ideal Candidate
A proven track record in sales and business development.
It would be beneficial if you have relevant experience in Building Energy Management Systems, complementary Building Management Services or Facilities Management.
You might have particular knowledge about an industry sector that will help your understanding of customers’ commercial and organisational objectives; such as Education, Health, Life Sciences and Pharma, Data Centres or Commercial Property.
Can develop strong working relationships with potential new customers.
You’ll have the ability to close on new business prospects to drive growth.
You’ll be an excellent communicator both written and verbally.
Sales driven and customer-focused.
You will be organised and have the ability to prioritise your workload.
Will have a flexible approach to travelling to different sites and customer locations.
It is essential that you hold a full driving license and are located within the region.
