Set in beautiful surroundings, this purpose-built nursery requires a Nursery Team Leader to join their friendly team. They are close to bus routes, a couple of miles from the train station and have free parking onsite. Working as a member of the Management Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of their assigned rooms, supporting the team to ensure that the highest quality childcare is offered to all children.

Responsibilities:

The Nursery Team Leader will provide day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the setting as required
Act as a role model for the Early Years, ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard
Support Management with the implementation of the company’s performance management cycle, carrying out supervisions and appraisals accordingly
Carry out show rounds for prospective parents and lead the team to present an appropriate image of the nursery during show rounds, including staff engagement with prospective parents
Identify training needs and support with the training and development of the team
Be the first point of contact for any staffing matters or requests
Be involved in the recruitment of staff, including shortlisting and interviewing
Take responsibility for team members’ induction and probation
Support the Nursery Management Team with invoicing and payroll queries
Take responsibility for the staffing rotaKnowledge, Skills and Experience:

Experience of leading a team in a nursery setting and dealing with all staff matters
Full and relevant Early Years qualification, ideally a higher Early Years qualification
Full understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS
Full understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework
Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements
Understanding of safeguarding policies and implementation
Valid DBS check
