Teacher of English
Location: Gateshead, Newcastle
Start Date: ASAP
Teacher of English Salary: £120 - £180 per day
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
GSL Education’s Newcastle Branch is looking for a dedicated and qualified English Teacher for a respected school in Gateshead, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and committed educator with a proven track record of nurturing a passion for literature and improving student performance.
As an English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level English.
Assisting in the development of a creative and effective English curriculum.
Utilizing a variety of teaching resources, including ICT and online tools, to engage and motivate students.
Adhering to the school’s ethos and behavior management policies and promoting a positive learning environment.
Encouraging students to develop independent learning skills and critical thinking.
Participating in staff training days, meetings, and parent evenings as required.
Essential requirements include:
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Ability to teach English to GCSE and A-Level standards.
Provide two professional references from the last two years relevant to your teaching experience.
A committed educator with an understanding of how special educational needs impact teaching and learning methods.
Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately.
