Senior Quality Inspector

Salary: £35-38k but hourly pay can be offered

Location: Basingstoke

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a progressive precision engineering company in the Basingstoke area, who are looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their growing team and support their increasing production capabilities.

This role offers a great opportunity to influence the quality standards and progression as the company continues to grow.

Senior Quality Inspector responsibilities:

Inspection of precision parts using both CMM and manual measuring tools to ensure accuracy of dimensions within drawings.
Compiling accuracy documentation relating to the relevant precision component.
Completing FAIRs and NCRs when necessary to support 8D process.
Programme, manage and operate Mitutoyo CMM.
Participation in regular audits to maintain standards and maintain AS9100 certification.
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement methods.
Senior Quality Inspector requirements:

3-5 years’ experience in similar role/sector and leadership experience would be advantageous.
Proficient in CMM programming, preferably Mitutoyo.
Experience of working with quality standards including ISO9001 and AS9100.
Previous competence of working with manual tools.
Experience of supervising a small team and has strong leadership skills.
