About the School:

The school serves students aged 11-18 years.
It offers a bespoke education provision, following a person-centered approach.
The focus is on providing high-quality education for students with complex needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
The school fosters a welcoming, creative environment and encourages students to achieve their personal best while building confidence.
Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs.
Assist in delivering in-class activities, promoting independent learning, and encouraging social skills.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support behaviour, learning, and personal development.
Build trusting relationships with students to help them re-engage with their learning.
Help students replace feelings of frustration with a sense of belonging and success.
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school or residential setting.
Knowledge of complex needs, associated learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
Familiarity with behaviour management strategies like Team Teach, NAPPI, or MAPPA.
Ability to collaborate with staff and external professionals, such as counsellors or mental health specialists.
An Enhanced DBS (Child Only) registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one via GSL Education.
