Our client a leading importer, distributor and wholesaler established over 50 years are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Coordinator to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will be ready to start as soon as possible, possess strong Microsoft Office skills, and have prior experience in general administration. Fabric knowledge, particularly in Womenswear Woven and Jersey, is essential. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional flexibility.
Key Responsibilities of Production Coordinator
• Manage Production Timelines: Oversee and maintain seasonal production and development critical paths, ensuring timely progression and accuracy.
• Sample Coordination: Track and chase production, development, and fit samples, ensuring they are received and logged properly within the business.
• Support Wholesale Team: Assist with uploading style details onto internal systems, keeping information accurate and up-to-date.
• Fabric Approvals and Filing: Approve bulk fabrics and lab dips, and maintain organized filing systems for these items.
• Departmental Organization: Maintain general tidiness and organization of the department, with efficient systems for sample tagging and tracking.
• Garment and Sample Logistics: Organize garments for photo shoots, and manage sample locations between showrooms, liaising regularly with the team in Manchester.
• Showroom and Sample Updates: Coordinate with the Showroom Coordinator to ensure all samples are accurate and current.
• Critical Path Updates: Communicate with the Garment Tech team to provide regular updates on the critical path.
• Sample Archive Management: Take ownership of the Sample Archive, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• General Administrative Support: Provide additional administrative assistance to the London team as needed.
Qualifications:
• Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Fabric Knowledge: Familiarity with Womenswear Woven and Jersey fabrics, with the ability to make informed decisions related to fabric approval.
• Communication and Organisation: Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week)
