Teaching Assistants – SEN Experience Preferred – Southampton

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to make a real difference in the classroom?

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Southampton, with a focus on supporting students with SEN needs. Whether you have prior experience in SEN settings or are eager to gain hands-on experience, we’d love to hear from you!

Role & Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs

* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

* Help create a positive and supportive learning environment

* Support students with communication, social skills, and academic progress

* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other support staff

Requirements:

* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (preferred but not essential)

* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A passion for education and supporting young people
