This exciting role will involve the delivery of the Travel and Tourism courses to a wide range of learners from Levels 1-5.

Main Purpose

Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Providing tutorial support and guidance to learners.
Contributing to marketing, recruitment, course development, and student progression. Responsibilities 

Deliver high quality teaching and learning
Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes and levels.
Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
Provide and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources and upkeep of the VLE.
Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the faculty including up to date use of vital and EBS.
Carry out moderation/ assessment and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
Work with colleagues to integrate English and Maths into the vocational curriculum
Undertake tutorial responsibilities.
Act as a course tutor and personal tutor with responsibility for supporting learners in achieving their targets
Track and review student progress and maintain student records using ProMonitor and other internal systems.
Provide feedback on progress to the student, parents/guardians and employers.
Arrange and support the work experience programme/employer engagement.
Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students which may include evening, Saturday and summer periods.
Attend promotional events to publicise College activities.

Have current industry knowledge in the business and travel sector.
Be eager to contribute to all aspects of the department, from marketing and recruitment to course delivery and student progression.
Hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualifications/Industry experience
Possess a full teaching qualification and demonstrate relevant teaching experience.
