The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore and excel in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will have the opportunity to join a supportive department, collaborate on curriculum development, and make a significant impact on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Develop innovative teaching resources to inspire curiosity and a love for science.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed.
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and wider school initiatives.
Support the school's ethos and values, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related discipline.
A thorough understanding of the Science curriculum and a proven ability to deliver engaging lessons.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
A commitment to raising standards and promoting high expectations in the classroom.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 5 (A-level).
Familiarity with effective strategies for teaching STEM subjects.
A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
