Location: Wigan
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £26 - £30 per hour
Contract Type: Flexible Working Options – Aligned with School Timetable

About Us:

At SEND Inclusion Support, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment for children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and mental health challenges. We focus on making a meaningful difference by providing expert staffing solutions for the education and residential sectors. Unlike traditional supply services, we prioritise long-term, impactful support tailored to the unique needs of each student.

Position Overview:

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Intervention Teachers with PGCE and QTS qualifications to join our team immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity for educators passionate about making a positive impact on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and committed to supporting young people to excel both academically and personally.

As an Intervention Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering personalised support, ensuring every student has the tools and confidence they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver Targeted Interventions: Provide tailored interventions for students with SEMH and SEND, addressing their individual learning needs and promoting progress.

* Create an Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to feel confident, empowered, and motivated to learn.

* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to implement and monitor Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring students receive the appropriate support they need.

* Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly assess student development and adapt teaching strategies to meet evolving needs, ensuring continuous academic and personal growth.

* Community Engagement: Participate in outreach programmes that support students and their families, promoting inclusivity and strengthening community ties.

* Progress Reporting: Provide weekly updates on student progress, including those involved in outreach initiatives, to ensure clear communication and transparency.

Qualifications & Experience:

* PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

* Experience working with SEMH and SEND students is highly desirable.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

* A compassionate, patient, and flexible teaching approach, with a focus on both student well-being and academic achievement.

* Access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential.

What We Offer:

* Become part of a team of committed professionals in a collaborative setting where your expertise is valued and your contributions are recognised.

* Access personalised career development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and achieve your professional goals.

* Enjoy a work-life balance with flexible working hours that are aligned with the school timetable.

* Take pride in making a lasting difference to the lives of students who need support the most.

* Access free Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to stay updated on the latest teaching strategies and methodologies.

* Benefit from access to a leading online resource bank, designed to aid in lesson planning and the delivery of learning to students of all ages, ensuring your teaching is always engaging and effective.

Additional Benefits:

* Flexitime schedule

* No weekends required

* Day shifts (Monday to Friday)
