An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Panel Wirer / Electrical Engineer to join a client based in Leeds on a days based monday to friday working week!
This company is a leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment into the renewable energy market, renowned for its pioneering super low-loss amorphous transformer technology.
Their flagship product contributes significantly to energy savings, cost reduction, and carbon footprint reduction, addressing the global challenge of energy wastage.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing arrangements for various products and ensuring that all design requirements are met within the Engineering Team’s procedural framework. The role involves close collaboration with the mechanical engineering team and the fitting department to enhance productivity and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Issue marshalling and wiring schematics according to client specifications.
* Develop and maintain component libraries for engineering projects.
* Provide support to mechanical engineers as needed.
* Maintain standard designs and contribute to the improvement of existing processes.
* Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance product offerings.
* Collaborate closely with the fitting department to optimize output for internal customers
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Strong knowledge and understanding of relay logic.
* Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
* Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification.
* Proficient fault-finding skills.
* Experience in panel wiring.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
* Previous experience with transformers is ideal but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is desirable but not required.
* Organized with strong communication skills.
* Sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
* Good numeracy and IT skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Capacity to meet deadlines consistently.
* High attention to detail in all work outputs.
