Salary: £50K (negotiable depending on experience)

Toni at Amber Mace is currently working with a great care provider who are looking for an innovative and driven Deputy Manager to join their team at one of their Nursing and Residential Home near Andover . This beautiful and homely purpose built care home rated 'Good' in all 5 KLOE's by the CQC and is located in a beautiful area and surrounded by wildlife.

As Deputy Home Manager you will have an active nurse pin and support the nursing team with providing excellent care and the Home Manager in the day to day running of the Home. You will help to lead a team of care professionals with passion, commitment and drive. You will have excellent leadership and personal skills and support the team in building relationships with each other, the residents and their families which is important. Together with a shared passion and commitment for delivering the highest standards of care to all residents, you will contribute to the success of the home. You will have a strong understanding of CQC standards and be a confident, knowledgeable and authoritative presence in the home.

The role of Deputy Manager will include:
• Support and deputise for the Home Manager in their absence
• Assist the delegation of workloads and care resources
• Be an active part of the management team, including management handovers, staff meetings etc
• Ensure accurate care records are kept and incidents/accidents are reported in accordance to the company policy
• Promote and maintain a high standard of care
• To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with supervision of trained staff, as well as providing mentorship, assessment and induction of new care staff
• Work as an RGN on a variable shift pattern.
• Oversee care records, care planning, and medication management.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments and liaise with professionals and families.
• Participate in staff recruitment, training, and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure a safe, efficient on-call system is in place.

To be eligible for the Deputy Manager opportunity all we ask is you have the following:

• Experience in leading, mentoring and supporting a nursing team
• A strong background in Elderly/Dementia Care
• A passion for delivering the highest standards of care
• Good understanding of CQC and the 5 KLOE's
• A valid UK Nursing Pin with the right to work in the UK
