Multi-Skilled Engineer

Overview:
It's a leading supplier of cans and pails for retail and industrial packaging across various sectors. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the maintenance of diverse machinery including Injection Moulding Machinery, Power Presses, Can Manufacturing Equipment, Lithographic Printing Presses, Pick-and-Place Robots, and General Building Maintenance and Installation.

Responsibilities:

* Identify and diagnose equipment breakdowns, executing necessary repairs promptly and effectively.

* Perform maintenance tasks ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment installations.

* Innovate repair processes through modern lean techniques.

* Facilitate smooth shift transitions by providing comprehensive handovers.

* Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate spare parts procurement.

* Utilize Computer Management Maintenance System (Agility) for activity documentation.

Requirements:

* Proficiency in mechanical and electrical fault finding.

* Competency in pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems (Mitsubishi and Siemens).

* Familiarity with inverters and drives.

* Strong team player with ability to work independently.

Education/Qualifications:

* NVQ3 engineering or equivalent.

* ONC electrical engineering or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications:

* HNC electrical engineering or equivalent.

* BS7671 wiring regulations 17th edition or 18th edition.

* Electrical inspection and test (C&G 2391).

* Forklift counterbalance certification.

* IPAF MEWP 3a and 3b.

What We Offer:

* Competitive salary range: £43,000.00 – £50,600.00 (dependent on experience).

* Continental Shifts: 4 on 4 off, days and nights.
