Our client who are a leader in shipping and logistics have an exciting new opportunity within the team and are looking for a driven sales orientated candidate to join the business.
The company have an excellent reputation for customer service and service provided to their customers and would like to expand within new target customers, regenerate lapsed customers and build a new business pipelines for the future.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who has experience within freight, transportation, shipping or keen to learn the industry, who possesses previous experience in business development or sales.
Responsibilities include…
Keep updated with company services and pricing structures
Cleansing data on an existing CRM (Sales force) and managing new fresh target client leads provided by the company.
Updating CRM with contact notes and progression
Build rapport and pipelines with regular contact to gain next opportunity with the new customers
Email marketing campaigns
Book meetings for you and the Sales Manager to attend
Provide competitive quotes with support of the Sales Manager
Negotiate contracts and ongoing contracts being competitive but holding margins
Knowledge and Skills essential
A knowledge of shipping, freight and logistics would be ideal or keen to learn the industry
Previous sales or business development experience
Excellent communication skills via telephone or written means
Ability to use Sales force or CRM systems
Confident to meet potential customers at meetings and represent the business in a professional manner
Working hours
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
9.30am – 14.30 pm
Hybrid after 2-3 months training in office
Salary
£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience Uncapped commission structure
