My client, a firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their firm.

The appointee will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for the firm's clients and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a reputable firm.

This could be a full-time position or perhaps a four day per week role, with hybrid working arrangements available where sought.

Main duties of the role:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of clients, including processing invoices, receipts and payments
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC deadlines, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information, answer queries, and provide advice on VAT-related matters.
Use of a variety of software, predominantly Xero, but also Sage and Quickbooks.
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000
