We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Logistics Systems Analyst to join our IT team based in Solihull, West Midlands. Flexible/Hybrid working available.
The role is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of relevant application services by leveraging specialist knowledge. It is also responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications and effective, efficient and compliant business solutions.
You'll work on business change projects, but also deliver smaller change packages via the enhancement process and provide specialist application and solution support for specific elements of the applications estate.
Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role you'll:
Work as a Subject Matter Expert for logistics applications & functional scope on business projects in line with business strategy
Quickly grasp user requirements and solution options
Own enhancements & project tasks translating functional requirements into solution design, build, test (co-ordinating UAT) and deployment
Work on agreed projects and changes within the agreed time limits
Build solutions that comply right first time by design; possesses basic understanding of GDPR, SOx and GISP
Provide expert second-line support to IT users in line with agreed SLAs
Investigate incidents and identify and mobilise the resources required to aid resolution and escalate SLA breaches
Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Change Management process
Liaise with vendors to support service delivery to agreed SLAs
Support the incident root cause analysis process and initiate problem management.
Support continuous process improvement
Ensure compliance with Internal Control processes and procedures.
The Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role you'll need:
To be educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate appropriate significant and relevant experience in a similar role.
To be ITIL certified/trained
To be accredited by relevant software vendors (where available)
To be an effective communicator, both to technical and non-technical audiences
To support innovative thinking
To be adept at defining & building system solutions from business requirements
To demonstrate creative systems design and rigorous implementation experience
To have developed problem analysis and solving skills
To be adept at producing high quality documentation
