Our Lancing based engineering client has an immediate requirement for a Sheet Metal Assistant to help the fabricators on the shop floor. The role could involve lifting, cutting, loading or helping the skilled machine operator. It is therefore important that the person is physically fit.
This is a great opportunity to learn to use some of the fabrication machinery and progress within the company.
Previous experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment would be beneficial as would machine operation and metal working experience. A UK driving licence could also prove useful.
The job is initially for a twelve week period and then would go permanent after a successful trial period. The working week is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday. 42 Hours per week + Over time @ x1.33.
