CNC Turner - Day & Night Shifts Available

Prime Appointments is working with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing company in Chelmsford that specialises in precision CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence industries. Due to increasing demand and a growing workload, they are expanding their team and seeking skilled CNC Turners to join on either a day or night shift. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that values expertise, innovation, and quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with accuracy.
Select appropriate tooling and optimise machine setups for one-off and small batch production.
Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure components meet strict tolerances.
Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines while adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.
Skilled in programming and operating CNC turning machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
