NOTE: This role is a split role between the facility in Wolverhampton, and also visiting and working on customer sites across the West Midlands.

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a family-run manufacturing company with clients in various industries including pharmaceutical, petro chemical, steel processing and automotive. Through growth and success they are looking to recruit multiple Maintenance Fitters to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

They aim to deliver a high-quality nationwide service that helps their customers and through continuous improvement they make positive benefits through careful planning, engineering and installation. Their impressive modern facility consists of CNC machining, steel fabrication, site services and commercial/industrial heating services.

As mentioned above, this role will be based out of the facility in Wolverhampton, however will involve regular visits and working across the West Midlands at customer sites.

The responsibilities in this role include fitting, stripping, maintaining, and repair of a wide range of mechanical parts for special purpose machinery, automated machinery, and conveyor systems. These parts can include drives, transmissions, gearboxes, motors, sprockets, chains, and bearings.

Our client operate in a wide range of industries, including Food & Beverage, Steel Processing, Petrochemical, Automotive, and Pharmaceutical. Their clients include reuptable companies such as Amazon, Cadbury's, McCains, Timet, Tata Steel, and many more.

The working hours for this position are a minimum of 40 hours per week, their core hours are: Monday to Thursday (07:00 until 16:30) and Friday (07:00 until 13:00).

There is lots of overtime available consistently, and is paid and time-and-a-half. After Saturday at midday, the overtime rate increases to double time.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or a similar role is required.

* Previous experience working within the industries mentioned above is preffered.

* A strong mechanical mindset and background is required.

* Experience working with hydraulics is desirable (not essential).

* Live within a commutable distance from Wolverhampton, and are able to travel to customer sites across the West Midlands.

The holiday entitlement is 31 days, inclusive of all public bank holidays. There is also a generous company pention and on-site parking included.
