Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Devon
Salary: To £20.83 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (ASAP to end of February 2025)We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our client's team, covering properties across Devon. This role is essential in ensuring their properties meet legal requirements and are compliant with health and safety standards.

Day to Day of the role:

Conducting Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys across various properties.
Performing a mix of single and multiple room surveys, roof and job-specific surveys, as well as full property management surveys.
Arranging and visiting customers in their homes, requiring travel across a substantial geographical area (company vehicle provided).
Providing a high-quality level of service to ensure property compliance.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

BOHS P402 qualification.
Good level of literacy and numeracy.
Experience in undertaking refurbishment, demolition, and management surveys.
Domestic dwelling surveying experience with a strong understanding of the built environment.
Knowledge of Health and Safety and Asbestos legislation in the construction industry.
Full driving licence (essential).
Desirable qualifications include BOHS P405, a degree in a role-related subject, CIOB/CIH/RICS equivalent qualification in property surveying, and experience in the construction industry or social housing sector.
