Senior Site Engineer

Highways & Civil Engineering

A Degree qualified Senior Site Engineer is required to join a Devon based Civil Engineering Main Contractor.

As a Contractor they currently operate across a number of sectors to include Highways, Rail, Construction and Build with Regional offices across Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol.

Typical projects include roads & sewers, foundations, infrastructure, major housing developments and Highways.

Key Duties:

Undertake Project based managing a team of engineers on various projects;
Provide Information and coaches subordinates in the use of setting out techniques;
Be capable of translating works information into setting out on site;
Have an understanding of robotic surveying equipment;
Support and ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings,
specification and Project Execution Plan;
Raise and track when Technical Queries are undertaken;
Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments;
Prepare and raise Temporary Works Briefs;

Key requirements for the role:

Minimum of a HNC/Degree or equivalent, and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
You will have proven people and project management skills with the ability to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives and the General Public
You are a Team leader with organisational skills
Experience working on civil engineering projects and managing a team;
Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative;
Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation.
