Interim Operations Manager

Location: Lydney

Position: Full time, Temporary 4-8 months

Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits

This opportunity is to cover a predicted 4 to 8 month period, during busy production times.

Responsibilities of Operations Manager:

Responsible for daily operations management, as well as a team of circa. 30

Ensuring all operations are carried out in line with legal requirements, compliance and Health and Safety procedures

Maintaining continuous improvement, looking to reduce waste and reduce business costs

Manage capacity of the department, ensuring timely productions, and high quality standards

Promoting company visions, values, procedures, and policies to maintain a positive, dynamic working environment  

Work with the Managing Director regarding the agreed financial budget

Analysing production performances, creating ongoing improvements for the depot

Generate and analyse reports and KPIs, noticing trends, and improvements to enhance performance

The Ideal Candidate:

5 + years of Production experience within a manufacturing environment

Previous experience with managing large teams, including performance management, recruitment, inductions and absence management

IOSH or equivalent qualification would be an advantage

Great personal attributes to be able to lead and influence positivity and productivity throughout the team

Great IT skills, including familiarity of all Microsoft platforms
