Are you a skilled chef with a passion for creating nutritious and appealing meals in a healthcare setting? We are looking for a Chef to join our team at a care home in Erith, Dartford. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in residents’ lives by providing delicious, balanced meals tailored to individual dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, ensuring they meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
Plan and develop menus that are varied, nutritious, and seasonally appropriate.
Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulations.
Work with the care team to adapt meals as needed for residents with specific dietary needs or restrictions.
Manage stock and supplies efficiently, ensuring minimal waste.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a chef in a care home, school, hospital, or similar setting.
Strong understanding of dietary needs, including allergies, dysphagia diets, and modified textures.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a healthcare environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and respectful, with a commitment to enhancing the dining experience for residents.
