Number 2 Site Manager – Residential Conversion Project (Town Centre Location)

Project Type: Large Residential Conversion (2 Commercial Units, Gym, and 80 Flats)

We are seeking an experienced Number 2 Site Manager to take responsibility for managing the internal packages of a large-scale residential conversion project. This development includes 2 commercial units, a gym, and 80 flats. The project is situated in a town centre location, so applicants must be able to navigate parking and delivery restrictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the management and coordination of internal packages, ensuring all works are completed on time and to a high standard.

Read and interpret drawings to ensure that the project is progressing as per the design.

Manage and coordinate trades and subcontractors on site, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to specification.

Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed on site.

Communicate with the project team and report progress to the Site Manager.

Ensure site documentation is up to date, including risk assessments and method statements.

Address any issues or delays promptly and provide solutions to maintain project timelines.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

First Aid certification.

CSCS Card (ideally White or Black Manager's Card).

Proven experience managing internal packages on large residential projects.

Strong ability to read and understand drawings.

Experience managing trades and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

A strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, trades, and the project team.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing project challenges.

Experience working on projects with parking and delivery restrictions.
