You will get the chance to lead a small team working in the exciting Sports and Leisure space for a superb MGA who really are going places and who want you to go on this journey with them. Opportunity is unlimited here, just ask your predecessor who has only vacated the role due to an internal promotion!
You will join them as Underwriting Manager to deliver Underwriting excellence across all new and existing product lines, which will focus on Property and Casualty, with a small amount of PI. You will also handle third party agreements and support the MD to provide effective Underwriting and Technical solutions to the Business as required and to contribute to the development and delivery of the firms strategic plan. you will also get to create and deliver, the underwriting governance framework, including underwriting licenses, referrals, pricing approach and underwriting guides as well as operate at binder level for the business, ensuring that the underwriting teams work efficiently and in an empowered way to delver the strategic plan and the agreed ULR targets for each insurer partner/capacity provider.
This MGA are part of a well known group, and have already shown some really impressive growth since inception since launching 19 months ago, with GWP currently sitting at £5 million, and plans to get this to £18 million within 5 years of trading. As such this will offer you a superb opportunity to be part of and help lead this growth.
Working in the sports and leisure insurance sector will also mean you will get to do all the cool stuff too, like taking your brokers to the darts, football and cricket as well as some concerts too!
In return, the salary on offer is £70-80k, and a strong benefits package on offer which includes 27 days holiday + bank holidays, 10% non-contributary pension, and after probation: - Private Medical Insurance, Life insurance x 4 of salary, an employee assistance program and 13-week sick pay policy.
